How do you know which is the best running glove? Well, I am guessing that you will have no idea what the answer is. You may know about the brands, sizes and other features but, you may not really know what you should consider when you buy a pair.
Best Running Gloves
So, what is the best running glove for ultra cold weather? For extreme cold weather, definitely like the North Face because it is my favorite. If you are just looking for comfort but your running model of style is more like “winter” or 45 degrees, then you want the Smart Wool gloves.
This running glove is very warm and very soft, so it’s perfect if you just want to go out running on a cold day and enjoy the day. It has been around a while and still holds up well. Plus it’s very light.
Now, the Smart Wool Gloves is a bit heavier than some other running gloves but, you will not feel the extra weight. I have heard some complaints about how heavy they are but, I really don’t feel that way. I prefer the lighter weight more to a super thick glove. Plus, if you run in all types of weather then you can use these gloves.
They are great to use during a long run. I find that when I get tired of wearing my SmartWool gloves that I just switch over to a more comfortable one. But, they are the best pair of gloves I have ever used for running.
Some of the other options in running shoes include the Gore Tex, Smart Wool, Hoka One, and others. I prefer the Smart wool because it makes me feel as though I have gloves on. It’s so cozy and warm. Plus, SmartWool is made with natural materials that will not irritate your skin. that I know of any other material that will do that.
The main difference between the best running gloves and the others is the materials used. The SmartWool running gloves are made with fleece. which is much softer than other materials used in other types of running gloves. If you run in very cold environments then I suggest the fleece ones. The Smartwool gloves will make you feel like you are wearing mittens.
The SmartWool gloves also last longer than other types of running gloves. Even though they are made with fleece, the fabric doesn’t feel like wool. So you won’t have to replace them quite as often. My wife even wears them everyday when she runs.
The Smart Wool gloves are also a lot more comfortable than the others. So if you are going to wear a pair of these, you might as well make sure you have a pair of mittens or mitts to go with them too.
The SmartWool gloves are also the cheapest of the options out there. However, you might want to invest in a pair of those as well. Even though SmartWool gloves are more expensive they are also more comfortable.
In addition to the best running gloves, you will also want to invest in some good socks and a breathable sock for your foot. These will prevent heat loss.
After you get a new pair of running gloves you may decide to buy a pair of gloves that also have an inner liner. This will help keep your feet warm and dry. This will allow you to run for longer periods of time.
The other option is to buy a boot with a liner. This will prevent moisture from soaking into your feet and causing them to swell.
